Cast- Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma, Pankaj Kapoor & Shabana Azmi;
Music Director- Vishal Bharadwaj;
Lyricist- Gulzar;

It's Vishal Bharadwaj's another different and enthralling project after Maqbool, Omkara, Kaminey and 7 Khoon Maaf. MKBKM is a comedy-drama with pure Haryanvi influence and we can see this impact in the music too. Vishal Bharadwaj has won so many National Awards for Best Music Direction and he always  brings some fresh and meaningful songs. Also the lyrics for the album are penned by the legendary Gulzar, and this pair has won so many awards together for films like Maachis, Omkara, Kaminey, and Ishqiya. So naturally expectations are high, the album is full of comfy, amusing and gleeful tracks with transcendent and lively lyrics.

1.  Album begins with a nutty and exhilarant track "Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola" brilliantly rendered by Sukhwinder Singh & Ranjit Barot. It's the title track of the album which depicture the characters of the film Matru(Imran Khan), Bijlee(Anushka Sharma) and Mandola(Pankaj Kapoor). Gulzar's grotesque and pertinent lyrics endearingly elucidate the facetious peculiarity of Matru, Bijlee and Mandola. Desi touch of traditional instruments like ghatam, dhol with guitar  and South African choir makes the song more lively and engaging. After 'Omkara re Omkara' (Omkara - 2006), 'Dhan Te Nan' (Kaminey - 2009), and 'Ibn-E- Batuta' (Ishqiya - 2010) it's Sukhwinder Singh's another fabulous track for Vishal Bharadwaj. Very Nice!

2. 'Bekaraan' - 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), 'U Me Aur Hum' - U Me Aur Hum (2008), 'O Saathi Re' - Omkara (2006) and now we have another very weighty and  pleasant track rendered by Vishal Bhardwaj "Khamakha". Song starts with very soft sound of guitar and South African chorus. Vishal Bhardwaj's enticing voice, sonorous singing and soft musical arrangements with strings and chorus, Prem Dehati's very efficacious and tender supportive vocals and Gulzar's soulful lyrics everything is perfect. Recommended!

3. "Oye Boy Charlie" sung by Rekha Bhardwaj, Shankar Mahadevan & Mohit Chauhan is a plausible track. Song brings a very exceptional and sparkling combination of Rekha Bhardwaj, Shankar Mahadevan & Mohit Chauhan, song starts with initiative harmonium, Vishal Bharadwaj perfectly used fetching loops  of dholak for different facets with acoustic guitar, strings, electric guitar, and supportive chorus. Best part of the track is all singers sung very well with full of  inebriation and pleasurable singing. Song covers complaints and enraged nature (sung by Rekha Bhardwaj) and male vocals trying to indoctrinate and coax, and all these things becomes more funny with Gulzar's jolly lyrics like:

Oye my baby baby
Tera chakkar chala jalebi

Aadhi raat bulata hai
Full moon pe aa jao oo..
Warna ghanti sun ke
telphone pe aa jao..

Oye my Dolly.. Oye my Dolly Dolly
Meri vitamin ki goli

4. "Lootnewale" sung by Sukhwinder Singh & Master Saleem, it's a  high bass energetic track. Song perfectly shows the sturdy and plucky nature and haryanvi lyrics makes the song more influential. Sukhwinder Singh & Master Saleem both have done good job. Desi instruments like dhol and trumpet in  band-baaja style with claps and electric guitar makes the song more blatant. Nice!

5. After four commercial tracks here we have a short song "Shara-Rara-Ra" sung by Prem Dehati, it's a situational based track in hariyanvi. This is full on  Band-Baaja track with enjoyable aroma of baraati dance.

6. Now we have a very emotive and  heartrending track "Badal Uthiya" sung by Rekha Bhardwaj. Baadal Uthya ri Sakhi is an old folk song from Haryana  and this is the reformed version with some changes. Song  delineate the feelings and emotions of a bride. Stunning arrangements of soft drum kicks and  meliorative sitar easily creates the demulcent ambience. The best part of the song is Rekha Bhardwaj's mellifluous voice and sonorous singing which softly  grasp your heed and maintains the limitless susceptibilities of a girl who accord her sentience with ethos of monsoon. Must Listen!

7. Here we have another situational short song "Chaar Dina Ki" sung by Pankaj Kapur, Imran Khan & Prem Dehati. It's a fun song with full of ludicrous and  rapturous elements. Band-Baaja and funny lyrics makes the song more zestful. Pankaj Kapur, Imran Khan & Prem Dehati all have done fantastic job. Nice!

8. "Chor Police" sung by Pankaj Kapur is another short song in the album, Claps, trumpet and supportive chorus beautifully mixed with  Pankaj Kapur's delineation of meaningful lyrics based on corruption and cases like 2G and 3G spectrum scam.

9. "Nomvula" it's a zulu track brilliantly rendered by African Umoja, the lyrics of the song are in Zulu language. Nomvula, in Zulu, means 'after the rain' it is  also used as a name in Zulu, and sometimes given to kids who are born during storms. Awesome!

10. "Badal Uthiya (Reprise)" sung by Prem Dehati, it's another version of the track Badal Uthiya. Basically the lyrics and all the musical arrangements are same, Prem Dehati's folksy voice and cordial singing separates the song from it's original version. Nice!

11. "Lootnewale (Reprise)" sung by Sukhwinder Singh, another version of Lootnewale with more swingeing singing and powerful beats. It is more impactful and clamant version with dominant efficacy.
